Sorry, but it just can't easily be explained in words. If you want to learn how to dance, you're not going to be able to do it over the Internet. You need someone to teach you, or just go to a club or rave and watch... then start practicing for yourself, develop your own style.

Start with your right hand and make the figure eight. Once you have that down follow your right hand with your left. It takes a lot of practice but once you get it you won't believe how easy it actually is. email me if you have anymore questions (i know lots of tricks) @ lilninangel@aol.com

Im glad to see the ravRgirl gittn'it on with an "8"...remember that it not only works like that vertical, and horizontal, but diagonal too.Think Outside the box.I wanna be impressed the next rave I go to.So bring it over the head, behind the head, spin in circles...and then try it all at once.Changeovers are the key to a good light show.

I'm glad to see that people down South are somewhat enthusiastic about about fun.
You may know a few tricks, but try these on for size... (these all require strings...typically the longer and faster, the better..)
1) Spin them in front of you, both going the same direction. Then, bring them under your arms (or over) to reverse the direction of each.
2) Same as 1, but reverse the direction of only ONE hand. Thus, they will be spinning in opposing directions and if they collide, you (and everyone else will know it.)
3) Using photons of different colors (or glowsticks) trying switching hands while in motion. I personally like to make it obvious (so that the audience knows that red is in the left and blue is on the right.) Try to figure out for yourself how this works. But when they realize that red is in the left hand and blue is in the right, the awe on their faces will make you smile.
That's it for now. Here are a few general tips that I would like to stress....
DON'T look at what you're doing.... look at the audience. (A rave who hits thy fellow raver isn't much of a friend to anyone.) If you're any good at what you do, you should be able to do any tricks with your eyes closed. Practice during the daytime with old used glowsticks. Try 2 or three at a time.. it will help build strength and endurance. (I've done rainbows of 3 glowsticks on each string.... but it kills you and the tangling factor is immense.) Swinging things around for 2 or 3 minutes is nice, but lenghthy ORIGINAL presentations of 10, 15, and even 30 minutes will impress anyone.
Take care... Be safe... And PLEASE have fun!!

Fierceraver...try a horizontal&vertical fig8at the same time bring them apartand switch from vertical.to horizontal.&bring them together again. Then you can try takin the two foreward circles & breakin them apart into an atom.after that You can try and rotate the atom.I have lots of other tricks too but I cant explain them.In full speed Theres just a jumble of lights all around me.Heres a challenge...spin backwards.
