Hey pal, "communication" is not a verb.

Sure, anyone can swing photons tied to strings (poi or roundy wheels of light), but doing tricks is far more entertaining methinks. Check out the following page for a few tricks, learn 'em & practice, then do them to music. The page has simple animated GIFs and text descriptions.

AWEsome! I never knew other people did some of those tricks (mainly newton's cradle, nunchaku, and the wave). It's kinda sad that I didn't really invent anything, but it's also pretty cool to know that other people are doing the exact same stuff I'm doing. Well anyway, nice animations (they came out way better than mine) and keep up the photoning.

Thank you! Most of the tricks there I really just drew and described after watching "James Lac"'s photon mpeg from a championship. (gotta give proper credit) It used to be at Sector-Y for 3Megs, I think this link: www.yo-yo.com/glasslab/bigvids/tglphotons.mpg is the same vid except at 12Megs (which I'll never dl on my 56k modem to check!!), and if it is, it's great inspiration.
Newton's Cradle I can take credit for. I had just gotten the real thing (for my desk) and was watching a friend do the pendulum and got the idea...I was really excited at first and drew it and slapped it on my page, but it's a little too hard methinks and unless it's done smoothly it'll just look silly. Drink of Water and the "spit" part of Gobblin Spit are by Yours Truly also.
The tricks are great fun, and everyone I've come across loves 'em. Put on some fast music and do them in time as a routine (freestyle). That's plenty of fun. =) I rollerblade at a local skating rink -- yes I'm 20 and yes almost everyone there but my friends are under 13 -- and play with my photons stashed in white gloves as I sk8 around...the DJs there now dim the lights more for me. =) A cool thing is Passing: if you and a friend have the same color lights, you can do tricks, then "throw" the light to your friend who "catches" it and does tricks and vice-versa! We do that across the rink, and as we skate by each other we'll "grab" the light from the other's hand in mid-trick! Looks great. =)
Anyways, I've been trying to invent new tricks (to little/no avail) and have been searching for new ones too, so if you (anyone) know of any I don't (aka not on the page below), please drop me a line!!
