Under "normal" use, broken switches are a very rare occurrence, however spinning the Photons on strings is very hard on the lights. With the recent increase in those of you using the Photons to dance with (and frequently spinning them on strings) we have been seeing more problems with broken switches. We are working on putting together a package of several replacement switches and possibly some extra screws which will be offered on this web site. In the meantime, though, you will have to call LRI directly at 541-925-3741 to order replacement switches.

As an abuser of photon lights, all six of my switches have broken... Has this stopped me... (nope...)
The solution... open up the photon (I recommend using a pocket knife... it doesn't mess with the screw heads... hence... less wear and tear...)
Take a small piece of a rubber band (a small square) and insert it on the TOP side of the battery.... (for you stoners out there, it's the side OPPOSITE the switch - the + side.) If ya can, make sure that PART of the rubberband touches the LED.. (It'll help make the LED touch the battery more reliably.) Make sure that the rubber-band piece WILL NOT INTERFERE with the casing. It needs to still be able to close up tightly. Close the photon back up tight.
This fix has helped make my lights work MUCH better (they stay on despite the fact that I bang them off my body most of the time (purposely, of course...)) I have PURPOSELY NAILED these into metal posts... wooden tables... etc etc. and they STILL work.. No one abuses these more than me... and I assure you all that this fix will work...
Laterz...

You may now order replacement switches online on the "Batteries & Accessories" page.
We're starting out by offering a package of 4 switches & 4 screws. If you think a different combination (e.g. more switches or less screws) might be more useful, let me know. I would love to get some feedback.

wow thanx Bryan, now we can order switches, but maybe you can separate the package? as in one with just switches and the other just screws? sometimes you only need one but not the other, you know?
