Hey Brian, I don't know if you're going to read this, but you seem to read all the other messages so here's hoping. Anyway, this doesn't have to do with the RAV'N photons, but it will make a difference in whether I buy those or not. Back to the point, I have five Photon II's and some of them aren't in very good shape. After my blue one is on for a few minutes, if you move it around at all, it goes off, and then if you shake it; it will go back on and so on. I opened it up and made sure everything was ok and it still does it. My red one does the same thing. As for my white one, after about two weeks of having it, the on/off switch broke and I have been just using a rubber band and a peace of paper to hold the button down. (This was because I hadn't relized there is a warranty on them until now.) One of my orange ones will not get as bright as the other. I have two orange ones, and one of them, no matter how many time's i change the battery, or how many different kinds of batteries I use, It will not become as bright. The other orange one is the only one that I haven't had any problems with yet. What should I do? Should I send them back to you? Will you guys send me new ones or something? Thanks a lot.
P.S. Those new RAV'N ones look PHAT!

The problems you describe with the blue & red lights could be due to a broken switch (swinging the lights around on strings can be very hard on the switch). Otherwise, if the switch looks like it is in good shape, try lifting up the wire lead to about a 30-40 degree angle before putting the light back together. If this doesn't solve the problem, or if you would rather just send everything back to LRI to have it fixed. If you need the address, just follow the link on the left of this page for "Warranty Service."
For the broken switch on the white light, we offer a $3 package of replacement switches (and screws) on the "Batteries & Accessories" page, or you can send the light back to LRI for warranty service.
The problem with the orange light could be due to dirty contacts (check the wire leads to see if they look tarnished or corroded at all), or it could just be the bulb itself.
If you would like to try to fix the lights yourself, hopefully these suggestions will help. Otherwise, you are welcome to just pack them all up and ship them to LRI for service. Turn-around on the warranty service is usually only a couple days, so you should get your lights back as good as new within a short time.
